Paul Rafac

Paul Rafac is currently the EVP & CFO at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Prior to this, they were the CFO at DuPage County from November 2013 to March 2020. Paul has also served as an adjunct faculty member for blueprint reading at Joliet Junior College, the Vice President of Finance & Marketing at the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, and the Finance Director at Will County. Additionally, they have been the Fiscal Director at Catholic Charities Diocese of Joliet and the President at Rafac Industries. Paul's first job was as the Budget Director at the Illinois Department of Employment Security, which they held from September 1985 to November 1993.

Paul Rafac attended the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where they earned their MBA in marketing and industrial relations. Paul also holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Chicago.

Paul Rafac reports to Jean M. Franczyk, President & CEO. They are on a team with Gregory M. Mueller - Chief Scientist, Gwen VanderBurg - VP, Marketing & Communications, and Jennifer Schwarz - VP, Learning & Public Programs.
