Julie McCarthy

Julie McCarthy is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in public administration and nonprofit management. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Northern Illinois University since 2018, McCarthy also holds the position of Doctoral Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago and has been a Doctoral Fellow at the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership since 2012. Prior roles include Policy Research and Management Fellow at the Chicago Workforce Investment Council and Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago. McCarthy's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Public Administration/Nonprofit Management and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Illinois Chicago, complemented by a Summer Program in Urban Planning & Economic Development at the University of London and a Bachelor's degree in Communications from North Park University.
