Phil Davidson

Phil Davidson is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in strategic communication and media relations. Currently serving as the Director of Communications for the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council since March 2020, Phil has previously held positions as Communications Director for Congressman Daniel Lipinski and Media Relations at Dinsmore & Shohl LLP. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Marketing Specialist and RFP Manager at Marathon Health, where responsibilities encompassed proposal writing and social media management, and as Legislative Outreach Coordinator for the State of Illinois, managing outreach for an Illinois State Representative. Phil began a journalism career as a Legislative Reporter and Weekend Editor for the Post Register. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Public Affairs Reporting from UIS and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Iowa.
