Alison Marcotte

Alison Marcotte is a picture book author and experienced writer with a diverse background in editing and digital content creation. Currently serving as a Picture Book Author at 1517 Media since 2019, Alison released the debut picture book *SEEKING BEST FRIEND* in 2022. As a writer for the American Library Association, Alison has interviewed notable authors and contributed to major conferences. Across various roles, including Copy Editor at Sourcebooks and Academic Approach, and Proofreader at Chicago Review Press, Alison specializes in editing manuscripts adhering to established style guidelines. With experience in digital marketing and content creation at Good Earth Lighting, Inc. and other firms, Alison also holds a Bachelor's Degree in News-Editorial Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and completed a study abroad program at the University of East Anglia.
