Michael Downey has a diverse work experience in various marketing and promotions roles. Michael started their career as a Broker Assistant at Longwood Trading in 2007. Then, they interned at the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club in 2009. From 2011 to 2014, Downey worked at Groupon, where they served as an Inventory Management Analyst and successfully grew revenue and profit. In 2014, they joined the Kansas City Chiefs as a Fan Communications & Loyalty Coordinator. Downey then moved to the Chicago White Sox in 2017, initially as a Marketing Manager and later as a Senior Marketing Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Marketing & Promotions at the Chicago White Sox, where they have developed several initiatives and manages the promotional schedule.
Michael Downey attended Fenwick High School from 2003 to 2007, where they earned an Honors diploma with a focus on Liberal Arts and Sciences. Following this, from 2007 to 2011, Michael pursued higher education at Marquette University. During their time there, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
