Maria Elizabeth Sawczuk is an experienced professional with a diverse background in media, real estate, marketing, and public service. Currently serving as an Asylum Officer at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security since February 2024, Maria also holds the position of Director of Marketing at the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America and works as a Real Estate Broker Associate with Chicagoland Brokers Inc. Maria's extensive media experience includes roles as Program Director, Producer, News Anchor, and Host at Polnet Communications Ltd., as well as positions in radio and television reporting. With a Master's degree in Television and Movie Production from Silesian University in Katowice, Poland, Maria has built a multifaceted career from January 1994 to the present.
