Ramiro Hernandez currently serves as the Director of Government Relations and Public Policy at the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, a position held since August 2021, where responsibilities include shaping and advocating for the business community's agenda at various governmental levels. Prior to this role, Ramiro acted as a Legislative Analyst for the Illinois House of Representatives from June 2015 to August 2021, overseeing tax policy issues while working for the House Republican Research and Appropriations Staff. Additionally, Ramiro was the Political Director for the Illinois House Republican Organization for a brief period in 2016 and participated in an Illinois Legislative Staff Internship at the University of Illinois Springfield. Earlier experiences include roles as a Student Assistant in DePaul University’s History Department and as a Writing Center Tutor. Ramiro earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from DePaul University in 2014.
