Mark Tierney

Mark Tierney is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in European Union law. Currently serving as a Solicitor in the European Union Law Section at the Chief State Solicitor's Office since 2014, Mark has been actively involved in handling preliminary references and infringement cases against the State. Mark's expertise was further enhanced during a secondment with the Directorate-General for the Environment at the European Commission, focusing on maritime and plastic packaging regulations. Previous roles include litigation specialization at the Chief State Solicitor’s Office and experience in residential legal transactions at O'Connor Solicitors. Mark holds several qualifications from the Law Society of Ireland and degrees from Trinity College Dublin and Technological University Dublin, including a 2.1 Honours Degree in Business & Politics.
