Sorcha Montgomery

Sorcha Montgomery is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as a Legal Analyst/Researcher (Higher Executive Officer) in the Legal Unit at the Data Protection Commission Ireland since January 2024, with active participation in the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee. Prior roles include Research Support Associate at the Courts Service, Legal Researcher at the Chief State Solicitor's Office, and Administrative Officer focusing on Equality Policy at the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth. Sorcha has also worked as a Research Assistant at both the CompaRe - Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on Comparative Regional Integration and Dublin City University, along with experience as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal at Mason Hayes & Curran LLP. Sorcha holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Law (Law & Society) from Dublin City University, a Master's degree in European Law from Leiden University, and is pursuing a Degree of Barrister-at-Law at The Honorable Society of King's Inns.
