Suzanne Lucas is an experienced educator and volunteer coordinator with a diverse background in teaching and training. Currently serving as Volunteer Training Coordinator at Child Advocates since November 2022, Suzanne previously worked as a Fashion Stylist at J.Crew, where outstanding customer service and product recommendations were key responsibilities. From August 2017 to May 2022, Suzanne was an AVID Coordinator for Fort Bend Independent School District, focusing on training leaders and enhancing student achievement. Suzanne's earlier experience includes a notable tenure as a Family and Consumer Science Teacher for Fort Bend ISD, where Suzanne was recognized as Schoolwide Teacher of the Year in 2012, and as an Elementary School Teacher, where efforts led to improved standardized test scores. Suzanne holds a Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Stephen F. Austin State University and completed post-baccalaureate work in education at the University of St. Thomas.
