Ria Shelton is an experienced research assistant currently working at Child Trends since June 2021 and at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since January 2020. At the University, Ria is involved in two projects: the Family Journeys Co-Lab under the supervision of Dr. Andrea Hussong and the Emotions and Social Interactions Laboratory led by Dr. Emily Hooker, focusing on meta-analysis. Ria has a strong background in collecting and analyzing psychological measures and journal articles from various online databases. Ria earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May 2021, following an Associate of Arts in Psychology from Durham Technical Community College in May 2018.
