Michael Widner

Michael Widner has a long and extensive work experience in the software engineering and development field. Michael began their career in 1998 as a UNIX Systems Administrator for FlashNet. Michael then held a similar role at Prodigy and SBC. In 2000, they became an Assistant Instructor at The University of Texas at Austin and an Instructor at Southern Methodist University in 2005. In 2007, Widner was the Project Director at Bibliopedia and an Academic Technology Specialist for the Division of Literatures, Cultures, and Languages at Stanford University. From 2013 to 2018, they were the Director of Technology at Poetic Media Lab and then held the roles of Vice President of Engineering, Vice President of Software Development, Director of Development, and Software Development Manager at LineLeader by ChildcareCRM.

Michael Widner received their Bachelor of Arts in English and French from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2000. Michael then went on to obtain their Master of Arts in English Language and Literature/Letters from Southern Methodist University in 2006. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy in English Language and Literature/Letters from The University of Texas at Austin in 2014. Additionally, Widner holds a Certified Project Manager certification from the Stanford Center for Professional Development.
