Eishi Asano has a diverse work experience in the field of pediatrics and neurology. Eishi began their career as a Neurosurgery Resident at Tohoku University from April 1996 to December 1998. Eishi then worked as a Research Fellow at Wayne State University School of Medicine from December 1998 to June 2002. Following this, they joined Children's Hospital of Michigan as a Clinical Fellow from July 2002 to June 2004. Eishi later became the Medical Director of Neurodiagnostics at the same hospital from July 2004 until present. Additionally, they have held various positions at Wayne State University School of Medicine, including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and currently, Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology since July 2004. In March 2020, they also took on the role of Social Media Editor at the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology (IFCN).
Eishi Asano received their Doctor of Medicine degree in Medicine from Tohoku University from 1990 to 1996. Eishi then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Medicine (Neurosurgery) from Tohoku University, which they completed from 1998 to 2002. Later, Eishi Asano obtained a Master of Science degree in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis (CRDSA) from the University of Michigan, which they earned from 2005 to 2007.
