Brennan Lewis, DNP, APRN, PCNS-BC, NEA-BC has extensive work experience in the healthcare field. Currently, Brennan holds the role of Vice President of Nursing Excellence at Children's Health, where they are responsible for overseeing the implementation of innovative technologies and programs to improve patient engagement and clinical outcomes. They also lead a team of advanced practice nurses focused on enhancing patient outcomes and staff engagement.
Prior to this role, Brennan served as the Interim Magnet Program Director and Interim Nursing Medication Safety Officer at Children's Health. They also held the position of Senior Director of Nursing Excellence, where they spearheaded patient family education initiatives and played a key role in optimizing the MyChart patient portal.
Before joining Children's Health, Brennan worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. They started their career as a Registered Nurse providing care to critically ill children in the ICU. Brennan's dedication to education is also evident through their role as an Adjunct Faculty at The University of Texas at Arlington and their previous position as a Curriculum Editor & Virtual Course Guide at the American College of Education.

In 2023, Brennan completed the Executive Nurse Fellowship & Certificate in Executive Leadership program at the American Organization for Nursing Leadership. In 2018, Brennan obtained a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from The University of Alabama. In 2012, Brennan earned a Post Master Certificate in Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist from Texas Christian University and in 2009, obtained a Post Master Certificate in Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from The University of Texas at Arlington. Before that, Brennan completed a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at The University of Texas at Arlington in 2008. Brennan's education journey began with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Texas Woman's University in 2002. Additionally, Brennan holds the certifications of Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, obtained in 2023, as well as the Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist (PCNS-BC) certification obtained in 2012.
