Robert R Feldbauer, DBA, FACHE has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Robert R began their career in the United States Air Force, serving in civil engineering roles from 1981 to 2003. After their military service, Feldbauer held various leadership positions in hospitals and healthcare organizations. From 2002 to 2007, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Mercy Health Fairfield, overseeing operational leadership and leading a significant expansion project. Robert R then joined Joint Commission Resources and Joint Commission International as a Consulting Practice Leader, establishing partnerships to improve patient safety and accreditation compliance. In 2008, Feldbauer became the Division Director of Facilities Planning & Support Services at UC Medical Center. As an Executive Project Director at Sidra Medical & Research Center from 2010 to 2013, they provided strategic leadership for a $2.5B academic and medical research center. Robert R then served as the Chief Operating Officer for Al Ain Hospital in Abu Dhabi, responsible for multiple departments and leading hospital construction projects. Since 2016, Feldbauer has been the System Vice President and Chief Facilities & Administrative Services Officer at UC Health, where they contribute to the master planning, design, and construction of healthcare facilities. In 2023, they will join Children's Health as the Executive Vice President of Facilities & Real Estate.

Robert R Feldbauer holds a DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) degree from the University of Liverpool. Robert R also has a BS (Bachelor of Science) degree in Engineering Management from Syracuse University and an MHA (Master of Healthcare Administration) degree from the University of Southern Indiana. Additionally, they are a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a Fellow of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (FASHE), obtained from the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Hospital Association, respectively.
