Rittal Mehta

Rittal Mehta has a strong background in biostatistics and data analysis. They began their career as a Teacher at Shahs Academy in 2014 before transitioning into the healthcare field. Rittal worked as a Teacher at Pearl dental clinic in 2015 and as a Medical Analyst at Medusind in 2016. In the same year, they also served as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Centre of Health Research at Loma Linda University and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the California Cancer State Registry.

In 2017, Rittal gained experience as a Healthcare Research Analyst at Research Consulting Group-Loma Linda University and as a Clinical Research Intern Analyst at New World Medical. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Biostatistician at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center-James Cancer Hospital & Solove Research Institute, where they performed data quality checks, evaluated research studies, and prepared statistical reports.

In 2020, Rittal joined The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine as a Biostatistician 4 and later took on the role of Data Scientist/ Biostatistician 4. In these positions, they demonstrated expertise in statistical software and machine learning techniques and published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals.

Most recently, Rittal Mehta began working as a Principal Senior Biostatistician at Children's National Hospital in 2022. In this role, they collaborate with physicians and surgeons to answer clinical questions using various data analysis tools, publish manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to NIH-funded grants as a co-PI.

Rittal Mehta pursued their education from 2016 to 2018 at Loma Linda University, where they obtained an MS degree in Epidemiology & Biostatistics. In addition, Rittal has received certifications as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health from the Royal Society of Public Health and as a SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 from SAS. They also completed a course in R programming from Udemy.
