Matthew Newcomb has a diverse and extensive work experience. Matthew started their career as a Summer Intern at Rothschild in 2005. In 2006, they interned at Analysis Group. In 2007, they worked as an Analyst at TAQA. From 2008 to 2012, Matthew worked as a Vice President at BlackRock, where they managed capital markets advisory engagements and developed risk analytics services and investment management technology products. In 2013, they served as a Director of Business Development and Strategy (MBA Intern) at RedOwl Analytics. In 2014, Matthew co-founded DigiPuppets LLC, a children's entertainment company that creates educational toys and mobile apps. Currently, they are working as the Chief Financial Officer at Chime and as an Investor at Insure.VC.
Matthew Newcomb pursued their education with a strong focus on business and international relations. Matthew first attended Corona del Mar High School from 1999 to 2003, where they completed their secondary education. Following this, they enrolled at Brown University from 2003 to 2007, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in International Relations. Alongside their undergraduate studies, Matthew also undertook a study abroad program at East China Normal University in 2005, where they delved into the realms of International Relations, Domestic Politics, and Mandarin. Later, from 2012 to 2014, they attended The Wharton School, where they successfully obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies.
