Mengze Xu

Mengze Xu is a Senior R&D Engineer at China Bluechemical Ltd since November 2021, with prior experience as a Postdoc Research Associate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where responsibilities included leading experimental projects and collaborating on novel catalysts for CO2-free hydrogen production. Mengze held a Postdoc Fellowship at Colorado School of Mines, focusing on the development of colloidal nanoparticle assembly systems. Previous roles include serving as a Research Intern at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, designing innovative catalysts for biomass conversion, and working as a Research Assistant at Colorado School of Mines, where various catalytic materials were synthesized and characterized. Mengze holds a Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from Colorado School of Mines, specializing in heterogeneous catalysis, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China, where foundational research in DNA-based detection techniques was conducted.
