Tom Simpson

Tom Simpson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Tom started their career as a Volunteer at Project Trust in 2004. Tom then worked as a Documentary Producer at Here's One I Made Earlier Productions from 2007 to 2008, and later as a PR and Marketing Assistant in 2009. In the same year, they joined the British Chamber of Commerce South West China, initially as an Events & Publications Officer, then as Deputy General Manager, and eventually as General Manager until 2011. From 2011 to 2013, they served as General Manager at the British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong. In 2013, they joined the China-Britain Business Council as Guangzhou Chief Representative and Assistant Director (China) for Creative Industries & Sports, and eventually became Director (China) for Creative Industries & Sports in 2015. In 2018, they were promoted to Senior Director: Service Delivery (China) + Head of Creative Industries & Sports. Currently, they hold the position of Managing Director, China Operations & China Chief Representative at the China-Britain Business Council. Additionally, they are a Board Member at the EU SME Centre since 2019.

Tom Simpson completed their BA Hons in Modern Chinese Studies from the University of Leeds between 2005 and 2009. Additionally, they studied Chinese at Capital Normal University from 2006 to 2007.
