Shan Gao is a seasoned professional in public health and international advocacy, currently serving as Senior Director of International Advocacy at PhRMA since October 2021, focusing on market access for innovative drugs and health financing. Previously, Shan held the position of Team Lead at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) from February 2018 to October 2021, overseeing adolescent health initiatives and managing partnerships across various sectors. Earlier experience includes serving as Program Manager at the China Development Research Foundation, leading a significant infant nutrition project, and working as Project Consultant for UNFPA on adolescent and youth programs.
