Crystal van

Crystal Van serves as the Civic Engagement Program Manager at Chinese for Affirmative Action since November 2019, overseeing a team of 10 staff and working to empower low-income limited-English proficient Chinese immigrant community leaders through grassroots advocacy. Prior experience includes roles at the Fund for the Public Interest, where Crystal excelled as an Assistant Canvass Director and Field Manager, developing strategies for public health and environmental campaigns and training large teams of activists. Additional experience encompasses various positions in educational and community service roles, including program assistance, research, and counseling, demonstrating a strong commitment to civic engagement and community support. Crystal earned a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Management and Protection from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
