Shanna Murray

Shanna Murray, PhD, is a highly skilled professional in the field of neuroscience and intellectual property law. Currently a Patent Agent at Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP since November 2023, Shanna previously held positions as a Staff Scientist and Technology Specialist Intern at Wiggin and Dana LLP. During a doctoral candidacy at Yale University, from August 2016 to June 2023, Shanna focused on the neural correlates of memory for credit assignment in learning through electrophysiology and computational modeling. Additionally, experience as a Scientific Advisor at Austin LLP involved conducting background research for patent applications and performing patent searches. Prior to these roles, Shanna served as a Post-baccalaureate IRTA Fellow at the National Institutes of Health from July 2014 to July 2016. Academic credentials include a PhD in Neuroscience from Yale University and a BA in Cognitive Science from The Johns Hopkins University.
