Cathy Avant

Cathy Avant, CHA CHRM CHSP, currently serves as the Regional Vice President of Upscale Operations at Choice Hotels International since November 2023. Previously, Cathy held several key roles within the Choice Hotels organization, including Senior Director of Brand Operations Performance Support at Cambria Hotels and Director of Brand Operations Performance Support. With a career spanning from 1995 as General Manager at McKibbon Hotel Management to various leadership positions at Marriott International and Choice Hotels, Cathy brings extensive experience in hotel operations and brand performance. Cathy holds a BBA in Finance from Georgia Southwestern State University, earned between 1984 and 1989.
