Gair Shields

Gair Shields has worked in the software engineering industry since 1996. Gair began their career at IBM as a Failure Analysis Technician before moving to Motorola as a Test Development Engineer. In 1997, they joined Panasonic as a Test Integration Engineer and then moved to BlackBerry in 2004 as a Manager of Test and Software Engineering and a Manager of Test Product Engineering. In 2014, Gair joined Asset Science LLC as a Senior Software Engineer and then moved to North (formerly Thalmic Labs) as a Software Engineer in 2018. Most recently, Gair has been a Senior Software Engineer at Muse by Interaxon Inc. since 2020.

Gair Shields obtained a BSc in Electronic Engineering (with distinction) from Glasgow Caledonian University between 1991 and 1994. In October 2016, they also obtained an Intermediate level certification in Spanish Fluency from Duolingo.
