Lesley Look Hong

Product Design & User Experience Research at Muse

Lesley Look Hong has a diverse work experience; they have worked in product design, user experience research, experience design, program and change management, service design, yoga and mindfulness instruction, usability specialist, project management, design strategy, teaching assistant, mentor, product design, marketing strategist, content writer, project coordinator, and programs assistant and volunteer coordinator. Lesley began their career in 2010 when they became self-employed as a yoga and mindfulness instructor. In the same year, they worked as a designer and researcher for InteraXon Inc. Lesley also worked as a project manager and design strategist for Ideas Made Real Industrial Design Exhibition, a product designer, marketing strategist and content writer for Imm Living, and a programs assistant and volunteer coordinator for The Japan Foundation. In 2011, they worked as a usability specialist (contractual) for Akendi. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a teaching assistant and mentor for OCAD University. In 2014, they began working for MUSE ™ | The Brain Sensing Headband by Interaxon as a product design and user experience research. In 2018, they became the manager of experience design, program and change management and user experience + service design for a financial institution.

Lesley Look Hong has a diverse educational background, having studied at three universities. Lesley received a B.A. from McGill University in a double major of Anthropology and East Asian Studies. Lesley also holds a B.Des. from OCAD University in Industrial/Product Design & Strategy and Experience Design. Lastly, they studied at Waseda University, where they focused on Japanese Language, Anthropology & Ethnographic Fieldwork, and Visual Arts Practicum.
