Sjoerd Tieleman is an experienced software developer and CTO. Sjoerd has worked in various roles since 1996. In 1996, they were an IT employee at Global Knowledge. From 2001 to 2006, they were a Junior Systems Administrator and Helpdesk employee at Utrecht University. During this time, they managed OS X desktop clients and servers, as well as providing standard services such as DNS, mail, web, and file. From 2006 to 2012, they were a Network Software Developer at ChampionChip BV, where they developed desktop software and web applications for the sports timing industry. Sjoerd also launched a new product, MyChampionChip.com. In 2012, they became Co-Founder and Product Developer at Hiro, where they provided multi-platform product design and consultancy for clients such as Sanoma Media, NU.nl, Netherlands Public Broadcasting, Uitzending Gemist, Nedap Healthcare, NTR, EO, and the European Broadcast Union. Sjoerd also worked on specific projects such as the Chordify iOS app, NTR Schooltv mobile website and iOS app, and Codem. In 2020, they became an iOS/Swift development and consultancy for their own company, Sjoerd Tieleman. Sjoerd is currently working on a newly launched product, Gituru, your personal guitar teacher. Gituru brings condensed guitar lessons to novice and aspiring guitar players using an intuitive chatbot that listens to you play and gives you real-time feedback. Technologies used include SwiftUI, Combine, Accelerate/vDSP, AVAudioEngine, Core MIDI, and Audio Toolbox.
Sjoerd Tieleman studied at Zandevelt College / ISW from 1992 to 1998. Sjoerd then attended Utrecht University from 1998 to 2006, where they obtained a Drs. in Cognitive Artificial Intelligence. From 2007 to 2009, they attended Fotoacademie Amsterdam for photography. Finally, they attended Audio Visual Academy from 2010 to 2011 for studio engineer / producer.
