Kirsty Edwards

Kirsty Edwards has over a decade of work experience in various roles, primarily in communications and marketing. Kirsty is currently working as a Senior Internal Communications Manager at Chorus NZ Limited since March 2021.

Prior to this, Kirsty served as a Communications & Engagement Manager at Lloyds Banking Group from September 2019 to February 2021. In this role, they developed and implemented communications strategies to support colleague engagement, including crisis communications during the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Before joining Lloyds Banking Group, Kirsty worked at Bank of New Zealand from January 2016 to April 2019. Kirsty held the position of Internal Communications Specialist - Security, where they planned and executed internal communications strategies to increase employee engagement and awareness of cybersecurity. Additionally, they served as a Digital Content Lead, delivering strategic content projects to improve customer experience and increase sales on the company's website.

Earlier in their career, Kirsty worked as a Digital Marketing Strategist at n3 - Business Buying Power from September 2014 to January 2016. Kirsty also gained experience in sales as a Helmut Lang Sales Professional at Bloomingdale's from October 2013 to June 2014.

Kirsty started their professional journey as a Marketing Research Intern at Flamingo in November 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a Marketing Assistant at Giltrap Group from November 2011 to June 2013. In this role, they managed social media accounts, organized public events, and handled website content.

Kirsty Edwards began their education at Rangitoto College from 2004 to 2008, where they achieved NCEA Level 3 with Excellence. Later, they attended The University of Auckland from 2009 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Film and Media Studies and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Marketing.
