Lenka Kundrat Hoffman has a diverse work experience in the field of medicine and biomedical research. Lenka is currently working as a Principal Scientist at Chroma Medicine since 2023. Previously, they held the position of Principal Scientist at Rubius Therapeutics from 2014 to 2022, where they also served as a Sr. Scientist from 2018 to 2020 and as a Research Scientist from 2014 to 2018. Lenka worked as a Post-doctoral fellow in Ploegh lab at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research from 2010 to 2014, where they developed a red cell-based platform for the delivery of therapeutic agents and made significant contributions to the field of genetic modification of hematopoietic stem cells. Before that, they were a Graduate student in Regan lab at Yale University from 2004 to 2009, focusing on their research in the same field. Lenka's career in research began as a Research Assistant in Jaffe lab at Fox Chase Cancer Center from 2002 to 2004.
Lenka Kundrat Hoffman has a PhD in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry, which was obtained from Yale University between 2004 and 2009. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The College of New Jersey, from 2000 to 2004.
