Katie Cacal, MPH, is a seasoned public health communications specialist with extensive experience in managing and implementing varied public health programs. Currently serving as a Senior Public Health Communications Specialist at the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD), Katie supports a five-year project funded by the CDC focused on reducing health disparities related to tobacco and cancer among people with disabilities. Prior roles include project management and financial analysis for the Maryland Department of Health's National Diabetes Prevention Program, along with support for Medicaid initiatives. Katie's earlier experience encompasses program analysis and coordination at NACCHO and health and safety training at the American Red Cross. Katie holds a Master of Public Health from the State University at Albany School of Public Health and a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University at Albany.
