Steven Torres has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Steven started their career in 2005 as a Safety Training Coordinator for the City of Broken Arrow, where they conducted and coordinated safety training and implemented policies. In 2013, they transitioned into the role of Employee Safety/Risk Manager for the same organization. In this position, Steven demonstrated expertise in monitoring facilities and processes for adherence to safety guidelines, managed worker's compensation, and provided data for budgeting forecasts. Steven joined Church on the Move in 2015 and held two roles: Compliance Officer and Director of Facilities, the latter of which they assumed in August 2017. Steven Torres earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Interpersonal Communication/Occupational Safety & Health from Southeastern Oklahoma State University between 2000 and 2002. Steven also received college credit in General Studies from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in 1998 and 1999. In addition, they obtained certifications as an Armed Security Guard from the Oklahoma Council on Law Enforcement Education & Training (CLEET) in 2016, a First Aid & CPR Instructor from the National Safety Council in 2008, and a Defensive Driving Instructor from the National Safety Council in 2006.
