John Valadon

John Valadon has extensive work experience in cybersecurity and network engineering. John is currently employed at Churchill Downs Incorporated as the Director of Cybersecurity Infrastructure, a role they have held since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Cyber Security Lead and Information Security Engineer at the same organization from June 2019 to February 2023.

Before joining Churchill Downs Incorporated, John worked as a Senior Network Engineer at GE Appliances, a Haier Company, from June 2017 to June 2019. Prior to that, they held similar positions at CompuCom from February 2015 to June 2017, Hewlett-Packard from April 2013 to February 2015, and Camber Corporation from June 2012 to April 2013.

John's career began in the United States Air Force, where they served as a Network Engineer from April 2009 to November 2011. John also worked as a Project Manager and SATCOM Technician during their tenure in the Air Force, from November 2011 to June 2012 and January 2011 to July 2011, respectively.

John Valadon earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in IT Security from Western Governors University. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Electronic Systems Technology from American Military University. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from ISC2, which was obtained in 2023.
