Sam Zaepfel

Sam Zaepfel, CPA, currently serves as a Senior Financial Analyst in Corporate FP&A at Churchill Downs Incorporated since July 2022. Prior to this position, Sam worked as a Staff Accountant in Business Valuation at Blue & Co., LLC from May 2021 to July 2022, and gained experience as an Assurance Staff member at EY from September 2020 to April 2021, having previously completed an Assurance Internship at the same firm in early 2019. Sam holds a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky, obtained in 2020, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the same institution, completed in 2019.
