Jonathan Mayers

Jonathan Mayers is a Senior Research Scientist at Cibus, where the transition occurred following the merger with Calyxt in June 2023. Previously, Jonathan served as the Molecular Design Team Lead and Research Scientist at Calyxt from December 2020 to May 2023. Prior to that, Jonathan worked as a Math and Science Tutor at Breakaway Test Prep from December 2018 to December 2020, specializing in supporting students with learning disabilities. At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Jonathan held the positions of Assistant Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow from January 2013 to December 2018, focusing on the SCD complex in plant cell biology through various scientific methodologies. Jonathan earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
