Malcolm Ethridge, CFP®, has a strong background in the financial industry with experience in various roles. Malcolm. is currently serving as an On-Air Contributor for CNBC since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Podcast Host and Executive Producer at Tech Money starting in 2021. From 2019 to 2021, Malcolm held the position of Executive Vice President and Financial Advisor at CIC Wealth. Malcolm. previously worked at Wells Fargo Advisors from 2016 to 2019 as an Associate Vice President and Financial Advisor. In the earlier part of their career, Malcolm worked as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch from 2011 to 2016.
Malcolm Ethridge, CFP®, has a diverse education history. Malcolm. earned their Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Management from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, graduating in 2009. In 2013, they obtained the Chartered Retirement Plan Counselor (CRPC®) designation from the College for Financial Planning, where they studied retirement planning. Malcolm then pursued further education in financial planning, obtaining the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER - CFP® certification from the CFP Board in 2018 after completing studies at Georgetown University.
In addition to their formal education, Malcolm has also obtained various certifications and licenses in the financial industry. Malcolm. holds the Life, Health, Property, and Casualty Insurance Licenses from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), obtained in 2012. In that same year, they also obtained the NMLS Mortgage License from the National Multistate Licensing System. Malcolm further expanded their qualifications by acquiring the Series 66 Investment License from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in 2011, followed by the Series 7 Investment License, also from FINRA.
Looking ahead, Malcolm plans to continue their professional development. Malcolm. is currently pursuing an Advanced Certificate in Blockchain and Digital Assets from the Digital Assets Council of Financial Professionals, with an expected completion date in 2023. Additionally, in 2020, they obtained the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) designation from the National Association of Plan Advisors, further enhancing their expertise in this area.
