Jason Connell

Jason Connell has a diverse work experience spanning various fields. Jason is currently working at CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center) as an Assistant Director in Sales and Relationship Management, a role they started in September 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Relationship Manager at CIC from October 2021 to September 2022.

Aside from their work at CIC, Jason has a passion for music and has worked as a freelance singer since September 2009. As a light lyric tenor, they have been actively performing in the Boston area and has a special interest in the music of composers like Mozart, Bach, Donizetti/Rossini, and Britten.

In addition to their freelance singing career, Jason has also been involved in choral performances as a Chorister at St. Stephen's Church since March 2010. Jason serves as the first chair tenor (Decani) in Schola Cantorum and regularly performs as a soloist in the weekly high Episcopal Mass with full musical mass settings.

Before joining CIC in a sales and relationship management role, Jason worked at CIC Health as an Operations Manager from January 2021 to October 2021. Prior to that, they held various positions at CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center) starting from November 2014. These positions include Community Leader, Community Specialist, and Operations Team Member, where they managed a community team and oversaw several floors of a collaborative workspace. Jason found their passion for operations and customer service work during their time at CIC and developed valuable skills in these areas.

Prior to their work at CIC, Jason gained experience as a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks from July 2010 to November 2014. Jason also worked as a Crew Member for the Opera Studies Technical Crew from September 2009 to May 2010, where they were responsible for load-in, load-out, scene changes, and lighting for performances, as well as organizing and cataloging set and costume pieces.

Overall, Jason Connell has demonstrated their versatility and dedication through their work experience in sales and relationship management, freelance singing, choral performances, operations management, community leadership, customer service, and technical theater.

Jason Connell earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they pursued a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance at the New England Conservatory of Music, completing their studies from 2009 to 2011.
