Ramkrishna De

Ramkrishna De has extensive work experience in the field of chemistry, with roles in both academia and pharmaceutical companies. Ramkrishna is currently employed as a Senior Scientist at Cidara Therapeutics since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Scientist I, Medicinal Chemistry at Vertex Pharmaceuticals from November 2019 to December 2020.

Before joining Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Ramkrishna worked as an R&D Research Chemist at Lacamas Laboratories from September 2019 to November 2019. Ramkrishna also gained valuable experience as a Synthetic Chemist at Eli Lilly and Company from September 2018 to June 2019, where they optimized metal-catalyzed coupling reactions and developed solid phase extraction methods.

Ramkrishna's academic experience includes a Post Doctoral Associate position at Indiana University from May 2015 to April 2017, where they developed improved routes for peptide synthesis and implemented analytical methods for purification. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Chemist at the Natural Products Analytics Group from September 2012 to January 2015.

In addition to their research roles, Ramkrishna also gained teaching experience as an Instructor at The Princeton Review from January 2012 to December 2012. Ramkrishna completed their Ph.D. in chemistry at Indiana University Bloomington, where they were a Graduate Student from 2005 to 2012. Ramkrishna began their graduate studies at Emory University, where they worked as a Graduate Student from August 2003 to August 2005.

Ramkrishna De completed their Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, from 2000 to 2002. Ramkrishna then pursued further studies and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry from Indiana University Bloomington, from 2005 to 2012. Prior to that, they studied Organic Chemistry at Emory University from 2003 to 2005, although it is not specified whether they completed a degree at this institution.
