Augusto Formento

Augusto Formento is an experienced legal professional, currently serving as General Counsel and Contract Manager at CIEMSA since August 2018, and as a Delegado at Club Atlético Peñarol from January 2024. Formento has held positions as General Counsel at CSI Ingenieros and Agent at Ventus Ingeniería, and previously worked as Operations Services Manager at TCIM and Legal and Contract Manager at Abengoa. Additional experience includes serving as Country Counsel at IBM and as an Associate and Corporate Trainee at Ferrere Abogados. Formento's educational background includes an MBA from IPADE Business School, an Executive Program in Innovation from the University of California, Berkeley, and ongoing studies in International Commercial Arbitration and Economic Criminal Law at ICC México and Universidad de Montevideo, respectively, culminating in a Doctorate in Law from Universidad de Montevideo.
