Steve Amend

Steve Amend has extensive work experience in the field of actuarial science. Steve began their career at Sorge CPA as an intern, where they gained experience in preparing tax documents and providing customer service. In 2011, they worked at Neilsen Tennis Stadium as a Supervisor/Racquet Re-stringer, where they were responsible for customer service and payment processing. In 2013, Steve interned at Milliman, where they gained exposure to the consulting field and learned the importance of quality checking and creating robust models. Steve then joined Milliman as a Health Actuarial Associate in 2014, where they worked until 2019. During this time, they gained valuable experience in the actuarial field. In 2019, Steve joined Cigna Healthcare as an Actuarial Senior Manager. Steve was then promoted to Actuarial Director in 2021 and currently holds the position of Actuarial Senior Director, starting in July 2023.

Steve Amend attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2010 to 2014, where they pursued a degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management and Insurance. Steve obtained a Bachelor's degree in this field. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) from the Society of Actuaries and as a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) from the American Academy of Actuaries.
