Louise Lalonde has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Louise currently serves as the Corporate Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at CIMA+. Louise is responsible for overseeing engineering projects across Canada. Prior to this, they were the Chair of the Audit Committee at Peterborough Utilities Group, where they implemented comprehensive evaluation strategies for the external auditor and improved board governance. Louise has also worked as the Chief Risk Officer and Corporate Audit at ICBC, leading a team and providing assurance through risk-based audits. Additionally, Louise has experience at Magna International, AlixPartners, and PwC, where they held positions such as Director of Enterprise Risk Management, Consulting Partner, and Partner in Risk and Regulatory and Advisory Services. Their responsibilities at PwC included designing and implementing compliance programs for global organizations and leading transaction risk practices for mergers and acquisitions. Prior to PwC, Louise worked in various roles at the National Office and in Strategic Planning at Price Waterhouse.
Louise Lalonde completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting at The University of British Columbia in 1984. Louise then pursued further education at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants to obtain their CA designation. Additionally, they obtained a CPA (Illinois) certification through the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.
