Paul Chamberland has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles within the information technology field. Paul most recently served as the Senior Vice-President - Information technology (CIO) at CIMA+ starting in July 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice-president, information technology (CIO) at CIMA+ from March 2022 to July 2023.
Before joining CIMA+, Paul worked at SAQ as the Senior Director - IT operations, infrastructure and Cyber Security from September 2017 to March 2022. Paul was responsible for ensuring the availability and smooth operation of the IT infrastructure and operations for SAQ.
Paul also served as the Interim Chief Information Officer - IT management at Société québécoise du cannabis (SQDC) from June 2018 to October 2020.
From 2009 to 2017, Paul had a range of roles within the Canadian Armed Forces, including 2nd Division of Canada - Interim Chief of Staff, 2nd Division of Canada - G6 - Chief Information Officer (CIO), Director - Operations - East Region (Commanding Officer), Course Director and lecturer at the Canadian Forces School of communications and electronics (CFSCE), Graduate Student at the Joint command and staff program - JCSP, and Chief Information Officer (CIO) - Commanding Officer Signal Squadron - 5 Brigade Group.
Paul also gained experience working at NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) as a Senior System Engineer and Project Manager from August 2007 to August 2009.
Additionally, Paul worked in various roles within the Canadian Armed Forces, including Director - IT Operations and Project Management office from April 2005 to August 2007 and Deputy Director - Information Technology Support Group from August 2004 to April 2005.
Paul'searlier experience includes working as a Signals officer at Royal 22e Régiment from August 2002 to August 2004.

Paul Chamberland has a comprehensive education history. Paul obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering (Software) from the Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada from 1992 to 1997. Paul then pursued a Master's degree in Management Information Systems from Université Laval, which they completed from 1999 to 2006. In 2011, they attended the Canadian Forces College, where they earned a Post-graduate certificate in Defence, security, political science, operational and strategic planning in 2012.
In terms of additional certifications, Paul obtained the Project Management Professionnal certification from the Project Management Institute in January 2017. Paul also acquired the GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED) certification from GIAC in April 2016. Prior to their academic pursuits, they became an Engineer accredited by the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec in November 1999.
Looking ahead, Paul plans to enrich their educational background by attending Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, in 2023. However, the specific degree they will pursue at Saïd Business School remains unknown.
