Maarten Mostert has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Maarten is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Cincom Systems since September 2017. Prior to this, in June 2017, they founded Advanced Propellers. In 2014, they founded StakePoint.

Before entering the software industry, Maarten held several positions in the naval architecture and maritime industry. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a Business Development Manager at CNIM, where they focused on the development of military markets and OPV design. Maarten also conducted market studies on marine scrubbers to comply with MARPOL requirements.

From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Naval Architect - R&D at STX EUROPE, where they were involved in project validation, financial proposals, and the development of a hybrid propulsion system for short track ferries. Prior to this, Maarten worked in various roles at STX EUROPE from 1998 to 2006, including Project Manager, Aftersales Manager, Technical Analyst, and Technical Manager. Maarten worked on projects such as the Cruise ship Queen Mary II and the Oceanographic vessel Beautemps Beaupré.

In 1993, Maarten worked as a Principal Engineer at Fontaine Pajot, where they were responsible for the basic design and construction of a fast catamaran ferry. From 1992 to 1993, they worked as a Structural Engineer for marine composite structures at CRAIN (Centre de Recherche et de l'Industrie Nautique).

Maarten Mostert completed their Engineer's degree in Maritime Studies at Delft University of Technology from 1987 to 1991. Prior to that, from 1983 to 1989, they pursued another Engineer's degree in Shipbuilding at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. Before their university studies, there is no specific information about their education, only that they attended a basis school.
