Lorenzo Pellone is an accomplished aeronautical engineer and PhD senior researcher with extensive experience in aerospace system engineering. Currently at the Italian Aerospace Research Centre (CIRA) since June 2010, Lorenzo has contributed to advanced aeronautical research and previously served as a space operations system engineer at CIRA from 2007 to 2010. Before this, Lorenzo worked as a senior consultant engineer at ISL-Altran Group from 2003 to 2007, focusing on strategic consulting and aerospace system engineering. Early career roles include mechanical engineer consultant at the Astronomic Observatory of Capodimonte Napoli (2000-2003) and design and analysis of helicopter rotating parts at Agusta (1997-2000). Lorenzo holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Information Engineering from Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli (2016) and a Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II (1997).
