Akil Aikman

Akil Aikman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Akil started their career as a Sales Representative at Western Union in 2011, followed by a position as a Technical Engagement Specialist at ACCENT Marketing. In 2013, they worked as an IT Manager at The eBiz Centre and simultaneously held the role of a Software Engineer at Ultreya Logistics Inc.

In 2015, Akil transitioned to the role of a Business Analyst at Reliable Software Solutions before becoming a Lead Software Engineer at AweTech Group in 2016. Akil then worked as a Software Engineer at Alteroo in 2017.

From 2017 to 2019, Akil served as a Consultant II at QualityWorks Consulting Group, LLC. During this time, they led a team of developers and worked on various projects involving mobile test automation, UI testing, performance testing, and test automation in CI pipelines. Akil also developed React components for online marketplace payments and conducted DevOps assessments for clients.

In 2019, Akil joined Guestlogix as a DevOps Engineer before moving to CircleCI in 2020. At CircleCI, they initially worked as a Software Engineer and later as a Senior Software Engineer.

Akil's experience demonstrates their expertise in software engineering, test automation, CI pipelines, and DevOps.

Akil Aikman has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from The University of The West Indies Mona Campus. In addition, they obtained the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification from the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in March 2019.
