Sam Beushausen

Sam Beushausen has a diverse work experience in the field of design. Sam is currently employed as a Teacher of Design Systems at Memorisely, starting in May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Product Designer at Circle Medical - a UCSF Health Affiliate since December 2020. From January 2020, Sam worked as a Senior Experience Designer (Contract) at Hausen Design, where they executed short-term contracts and worked on various projects, such as AgTech websites, global mass payouts platforms, and mentorship platforms for entrepreneurs. Before that, they were a Senior Experience Designer at fortyforty labs from July 2019 to January 2020.

Sam also had experiences at NorthOne as the User Experience and Product Design Lead from January 2017 to September 2018, and at Ferst Capital Partners as the Product Design Lead & Creative Director from October 2015 to November 2017. During their time at Ferst Capital Partners, they were responsible for mobile app and website design, user interface and user experience design, logos and brand identity, as well as marketing collateral.

Sam's career in design began as a Freelance Product Designer, designing web pages, mobile application UI/UX, graphics, logo design, and animations for various clients from May 2013 to September 2015. Sam also worked as an Art Director at Inspiration Industry Ltd. from August 2014 to August 2015 and as a Graphic Artist at IC Axon during the summer months of June 2014 to August 2014, receiving excellent reviews for their adaptability, design skills, ability to meet deadlines, and communication skills.

Sam Beushausen's education history includes multiple degrees in the field of design. In 2009, they attended Michigan State University and completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Design. During their time at Michigan State University, they also pursued a degree in Digital Media Arts and Technology, which they completed in 2013. In 2021, Sam enrolled in a program at Memorisely, where they studied Design Systems with a focus on Product Design.
