Alan Sharpe

Alan Sharpe has had a long and varied career in the tech industry. Alan began their career in 1985 as an Applications Engineer at Hewlett-Packard, followed by a role as a Presales Consultant at Star Computers in 1987. Alan then moved to SCO in 1990 as an Account Manager. In 1997, they joined Emulex as a Senior Sales Manager, EMEA, and subsequently held roles as Director, OEM & Corporate Sales, EMEA and Senior Director, EMEA Sales. In 2015, they joined INFINIDAT as a Strategic Account Director, followed by a role as SVP Sales & Business Development at GEGOBYTE in 2016. In 2019, they took on the role of CEO at Altosphere Ltd, and also became Sales Director at Cirrus Data Solutions Inc.

Alan Sharpe attended Marr College, Troon from 1976 to 1982. Alan then went on to pursue a BSc in Computing Science & Mathematics at the University of Glasgow from 1982 to 1985.
