Kamran Ashkar

Kamran Ashkar is a seasoned engineering and business operations leader with extensive experience in the technology sector, currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering Operations at Cisco since October 2018. In this role, Kamran oversees the roadmap execution and change initiatives for Cisco’s Cloud and Compute Business Group, with full responsibility for technical program management, release engineering, technical documentation, and quality management. Prior to Cisco, Kamran held various leadership positions at Ericsson from 2003 to October 2018, including Senior Director of Software Engineering, where management of a global R&D unit took place, and Senior Director of Technical Program Management, focused on engineering program management for IP routers. Kamran's achievements include transitioning teams to project-based operations and developing frameworks to enhance productivity across multiple development centers. Kamran holds a degree from Uppsala University, earned between 1997 and 2000.
