Barry Dempsey

Barry Dempsey has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of application development, software architecture, and management. Starting in 1996, they worked as a Programmer Analyst at Lee International Incorporated, where they were involved in application development, support, and process automation. In 1999, they became an Office Automation Trainer at The Research Foundation State University of New York before joining Multiplan, Inc. in 2000 as a Software Engineer Team Lead. At Multiplan, Inc., Barry took on the responsibilities of PL/SQL development, lead architecture, and development for billing and receivables applications. In 2012, they joined CompuSmart Solutions as a Senior Programmer and Architect, working with SQL Server, Visual FoxPro, and QlikView. In 2016, CompuSmart Solutions merged with Cisive, and Barry continued in their roles as a Software Architect and later as the IT Manager. At Cisive, they also served as a scrum master and contributed to agile experimentation.

Barry Dempsey obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Manhattan College, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Barry also holds additional certifications in QlikView 11 Designer and QlikView 11 Developer from Qlik, which they obtained in 2015.
