Andres Alev

Andres Alev, CFA has extensive experience in underwriting and portfolio management. Andres started their career as an analyst at NewStar Financial Inc. in 2006 and quickly progressed to various roles including associate, senior associate/underwriter, vice president, and director. At NewStar Financial, they were responsible for supporting origination, underwriting, syndication, and portfolio management for middle market leveraged finance transactions. Andres also played a key role in managing distressed and workout deals during the "Great Recession". In 2017, Andres joined CIT Bank as the Director of Portfolio Management and Underwriting, where they focus on underwriting and managing leveraged cash flow loans in the healthcare industry. Their responsibilities include credit analysis, due diligence, investment memoranda preparation, modeling, negotiation of legal documents, and coordinating closings.

Andres Alev, CFA, obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance from Baruch College from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance and Management Information Systems from the University of Bridgeport from 1998 to 2002. Additionally, Andres obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute in November 2011.
