Ellen Li has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Ellen started their career as a Research Assistant at the McKnight Brain Institute at the University of Florida in 2013, where they conducted research in the field of neurology. Ellen then worked as a Research Assistant at the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at the University of Florida from 2015 to 2016, focusing on engineering projects. In 2017, they took on the role of Data Science Intern at Lineage Logistics, where they developed algorithms and simulations to improve warehouse movement.
In the same year, Ellen joined Harvard University as a Teaching Fellow and worked in this role until 2020. During their time at Harvard, they also served as a Research Assistant at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences from 2018 to 2020. In this position, they worked on data analysis projects, specifically focusing on adult tracing abilities in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) compared to neurotypical adults. Ellen used various machine learning techniques to build a predictor for early detection of ASD.
Additionally, Ellen gained experience in the finance industry as a Trading Intern at Susquehanna International Group, LLP (SIG) in 2019 and currently works as a Trader at Citadel Securities since 2020.
Ellen Li completed their education at Harvard University. From 2016 to 2020, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics. Following this, they continued their studies at Harvard University in 2019 and obtained a Master of Arts in Statistics in 2020.
