Maksim Solovjov

Maksim Solovjov has a strong background in software engineering, with a focus on developing and implementing innovative technologies.

Maksim began their career as a Back-end Programmer at Juicy Pixel in 2012 before joining Amazon as a Software Development Engineer Intern in 2013. At Amazon, Maksim worked on the Storyteller team, where they gained experience with Agile practices and cutting-edge browser technologies.

In 2014, Maksim interned as a Financial Software Developer at Bloomberg LP, where they developed a new function for the Bloomberg Terminal. This function significantly improved user experience by providing instant feedback and increasing workflow efficiency.

Maksim then joined Barclays as a Technology Intern in 2015, where they contributed to the exploration of microservices architecture for Barclays Africa's online tax-filling application. Maksim played a key role in drafting the architecture and building the initial prototype.

Later in 2015, Maksim joined Bloomberg LP as a Financial Software Developer. During their time there, they developed enterprise offerings for multi-asset risk systems and was actively involved in teaching Test-Driven Development to new hires.

In 2018, Maksim transitioned to Facebook as a Software Engineer, working on the development of Spark AR Studio. In this role, they were responsible for the app infrastructure, including undo functionality, networking stack, and occasional meta-programming.

Most recently, Maksim joined Citadel Securities in 2019 as an Engineering Team Lead. Maksim has been leading a team of engineers, driving the successful completion of projects and ensuring the smooth operation of the engineering team.

Between the years 2018 and 2021, Maksim attended the University of Oxford, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering.

From 2011 to 2015, Maksim studied at the University of Glasgow, earning a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering.

In 2017, Maksim enrolled in Udacity and completed the Deep Learning Foundations Nanodegree program.

From 2007 to 2011, Maksim attended Klaipeda Azuolynas Gymnasium.

Maksim also obtained several certifications in addition to their formal education. In February 2020, they completed a Quantum Computing course on Coursera. In May 2018, they acquired certifications in Leading Effective 1-1 Meetings and Leading Effective Meetings from Udemy. Additionally, in April 2018, Maksim accomplished a Punctuation Mastery certification from Udemy. In January 2017, they obtained a certificate for completing the Functional Programming Principles in Scala course through Coursera. Finally, in December 2011, Maksim received certifications in Introduction to AI from Udacity and Machine Learning from Coursera.
